Just got an email from Ubisoft, for a survey to help improve the next Assassins Creed game.
So I clicked the link, clicked continue, clicked to agree to the terms and conditions. Then I filled in my age and clicked. I then got a message, thanking me for my participation, but I am not eligible for this particular survey. :(
Incidently, my age is 55.
What the hell should age have to do with filling out a gaming survey.

Would love to know what age group they are looking at.

Have you tried the survey and got knocked back?
If so, what age did you enter?

Grumpy old men!

How can they improve the next AC game - not making one would be an improvement!

Haven't gotten this. Then again, they ignored every single piece of feedback from their last one!!!

Not surprising.

I just spent the last 15 minutes writing a letter in their question section, clicked continue and bugger me, they are experiencing a technical problem. And so my rant has disappeared. I`m sure they use some sort of filter to weed out these types of inquiries, as it`s not the first time this has happened.
Just another company who confess they welcome the opinions of their consumers but would sooner you kept them to yourselves. :D

Maybe they only send it out to people who are age ineligible. :D

Probably. Here we go, from eurogamer a little while back (made me chuckle):

This is not the first time Ubisoft has polled its audience for feedback on the series. Back in 2011 it asked players where it would like its series to go, though none of the options were actually used in any of the Assassin's Creed games since then.

Then again, I 100% back them to make a new non-AC pirate game!

There is something about that in the game, when you are at Abstergo. There is something about a poll about making an AC game set in the American Civil war and they were advised against it. :)

The thing is the survey probably isn't even managed by people with a keen interest in / knowledge of gaming, it is probably done by some sort of generic marketing department for whom targeting a specific demographic will be standard practice.

My guess is they have a model that suggests the propensity to buy video games by age banding, and you fall outside of the most 'relevant' brackets.

The best way they can improve it is to stop putting any effort into the rubbish and waste of time "Animus" part of it and concentrate on the main game

I wouldn't mind seeing an AC set in London around the turn of the previous century. Jack the Ripper, dark and dingy streets, poverty, crime, violence, gangs. Can do a lot with it.

I don`t understand, with all the history throughout Europe and Asia, they pick the American civil war and then a Pirate for the last episode.
The Napoleonic war would make a great backdrop, considering the countries involved or even the Crimean war.
Or, the assassination of Arch Bishop Ferdinand and the prelude to the First world war, if they want to come even further forward in history.
But I seriously think they need to change the game play, make it a bit more enjoyable and not the same crap we experienced in the last 2 games.

I think it is time they wrapped up the series, I was bored after two so did not bother with 3. I'm sure they could milk it some more just for good measure but at what point do they go a sequel too far?

The same could be said for COD and MW, but as long as people keeping buying, they keep on making them.
