Buy COD Ghosts or BF4 ??

It's actually improved massively since release, but yeah it was bloody awful at first.
 
Having just purchased ghosts last night I can safely say bf4 is the clear winner. Ghosts maps appear even smaller/graphics are same old/stutters even on high end hardware(Ish)/new unlock system sucks/seems to be less guns than before.

However one thing I will say in favour of ghosts is in the hour or so I played my mother was not insulted once and everyone seemed polite. That was the most shocking bit :D


So yh bf4 is the one to get :)
 
Played through BF4 single player campaign without any technical issues and enjoyed every minute. Some parts of the game I genuinely found "stop and look" beautiful.

Have spent a solid couple of hours trying to play Ghosts - it first launched on my single screen (1600x1200, set as secondary screen) I use for monitoring rather than my main 3 screen group (at 5760x1080 and set as main screen). Once I'd solved that by locating the .ini file to edit by hand, it showed up on the 3 screens, but only as a duplicate of each other. Finally gave up, and set my PC up to 4 separate screens with the game on a middle one. Got most of the way through the intro when the game crashed as Windows was out of RAM - I have 16GB and this was the only thing open, it had used up 13GB of RAM on it's own!!

Finally managed to get Ghosts up and running by dropping to one screen only active and disabling crossfire in CCC. Got through the first mission, then the game crashed telling me the GPU had been removed.

That was two weeks ago, I gave up and played through Saints Row 4 instead. Haven't worked up the courage to open Ghosts again.

I've really enjoyed all the CODs since 4 (when I joined the series) and have learned to work around their refusal to recognise Eyefinity/Surround has been around for 4 years. Beginning to regret buying Ghosts, even if I did only get it because it was £19.99 a week after launch - that should've told me something!
 
Maybe COD, whats the Hardcore S&D like on it, I know COD sucks balls but the hardcore S&D draws me back every time, love the slower (ish) paced tension of it.

there is no hard core search and destroy only standard,and it sucks
but bf4 as defuse which is really search and destroy and its great i play only that game mode

They added H/C search and destroy but it makes no difference, they should spend time fixing the thing instead of more gametypes!
 
Also just another one to add ghosts almost brought my cf 7970s to their knees. It doesn't even look as good as bf4 which happily runs on my GPUs.

However I quite like ghosts single player story :)
 
Planetside 2 :P

but if if you had to chose BF4. far better sound and atmosphere and the maps are better. levelution works well and more to come.
