I have the ocZ 500w mod stream pro psu.

I would like to know the info about the r9 280x 8 pin power connector?

Your PSU will be ok.

Most R9 280x have a 8 pin and a 6 pin some have 2x 8 pin

The MSI has 1x 8pin and 1x 6pin.

If I'm not wrong it will come with an adapter 6 pin to 8 pin, at least the unboxing video that I saw on youtube had it.
