Ello,

My ipad 3 has a recurring problem with the home button, sometimes it works, often it doesn't. Which is getting rather annoying of late. I am out of my official apple warranty unfortunately.

Are there any online companies out there with a great reputation for such things?

Thanks.

At least a year, and can't really be bothered to trek over to an apple shop to be told no. And the out of warranty replacement on iPads is prohibitively expensive, I'd rather just pay a decent company to fix it, everything else works perfectly.

I repair them myself as part of my business but am nowhere near you.

I don't have any personal dealings with this company, but I recommend just from their knowledge alone we fix mac. Give them a google.

Which company is it that you speak of?

Are they an Apple authorised repair place or do they repair things using stuff they've imported? E.g. does the serial number on your iPhone back cover match the serial number of the phone?

No, they are not an Apple authorised repair place. The back panel on the repaired iPhone doesn't have the serial number on it, but they did return the original damaged housing along with the iPhone.
They use those same parts in their iPhone Colour Lab to change the standard housing for your personalised choice.
