Hey guys,

My house mate recently bought an XB1 but literally has lag on every server and map type.

Does anyone else have this issue?

We have a wired, non fibre optic connection with around a 7mbps speed which should be beyond adequate..

I've got the game on PC and it plays fine with no lag whatsoever; perhaps its a server hosting issue on XB1?

Would appreciate if anyone could shed some light xD

I've been getting the same the past few nights on a wired 60Mbs connection to the european servers, It's a server issue I think.

Well it's reassuring that it's not just me considering your connection speed, but sorry you're having problems in any case too :p

Hopefully they'll fix this sooner rather than later. Every EU server last night was pinging as 1 bar latency :eek:
 
Hi all, does anyone know how to get better sniper rifles in the single player campaign? All guides I can find are about them in mplayer.

Also.. Was it just me or were there a lot of walls in the single player maps that were not solid.. I don't mean the ones you can blow up but I found a lot of times, probably about 10 during the game, where I was hiding behind a wall, in cover, with no one firing at me. I would then push up to take a shot and I would walk through the wall and get shot.. Pretty shoddy really.

Conquest large servers with 64 players seem worse for it.

Have you tried a smaller game mode like domination ?

If its the same issue everybody else has, you could almost describe it as rubber banding, as when running forwards you'll run 3 steps, then almost seem to pause, before then running again. Even worse when you're in fast vehicles and jets.

There are a certain number of "hidden" weapons every map.

Yeah it's definitely rubber banding, but it seems to have been largely unreported other than on the BF4 know issues thing about "lag with solid connections"

It really needs sorting, happens more often than it does not..

Can't check the link as blocked at work - but what you've said ties in with my experience; no problems on servers on the PC (often non official servers) but Xbox servers are a joke; however I really don't want them to rent servers out again, the amount of times I got banned from servers for being half decent on BF3 was a joke!! It became a running banter as to how long it would take before the admin banned me... I was good at BF3 though xD
 
The ideal situation would be what they had towards the end of BF3's life, where there were plenty of DICE servers to play on, and the player rented ones with stupid rules as well.

Therefore if you wanted a 24/7 canals TDM server, you could play on one and risk the admins. But if you diddn't want to risk having butthurt admins, you could just play on the DICE servers. This is why the introduced the "official" and "ranked" server dominations for BF4 - ranked allowing what BF3 did, while official servers only run the vanilla rules and rotations.

Problem is most of the official servers died out! Fingers crossed it doesn't go that way this time when rented servers come out.
 
When does the PS4 get China Rising? Or is it out already for it? I think BF4 downloaded something big but not had a chance to play it to check...

On the larger conquest maps, seemingly at random, rubber banding kicks in, its like severe lag, and it seems to happen to everyone. You have to quit and join another server and hope its ok. Its a shame as I do love the game, and the widely published issues haven't affected me too much, but this one is infuriating:confused:
 
This game is so messed up. Trying to join Conquest and finds a game but says connections lost, so I try and do it manual and end up being thrown in a queue to then get to 1 and about join the game...connection lost.

Domination works okay but I want Conquest!
