Unless you play specific games that run better on Nvidia hardware, then no, I wouldn't say it's worth the extra money.

I personally never rated the gtx 760 myself, it's a gimped, (not pimped) gtx 670. An older yet better card. Dont see the point of it tbh.

The GTX 670 is a bit out of my price range at £299.99 -.-

Because its EOL. They were going for £180 not so long ago.
The 760 replaces the 670, only its less powerful

Thinking I best go with the MSI R9 270X Twin Frozr, or is there something else I should look at for around that price range?

I have the MSI card and it's awesome.... very quiet and overclocks very well.

4Gb of VRAM is good too as certain games can break the 2Gb barrier at 1080p
