I finished work last Tuesday and have yet to leave the house, so I probably won't even notice the transition between 2013 and 2014, all I know is I have work on Thursday.

Out, usually go to a house party but our local craft beer pub are doing a ticketed event. Looking forward to it.

This is one of the reasons I stopped going out for NYE. Why pay to get into a pub that is usually free? Why pay an extra 50p on your pint just because of the date?

I'd rather save my money and go out next weekend and pay half the price for just as a good a night.

They don't all cost. A couple of my locals are ticketed but the tickets are free, just only offered to regulars. Not charging extra for drinks either.

So, after plans with my colleague fell through I asked around and there are a couple of girls going to the local and asked if I wanted to tag along. Only problem is pasty smashing will be off the menu and the local pub is their local which is a bit of a crap hole at the best of times. Hmm... :p

Out with some friends down to both of the village pubs this year, it should be interesting as last year we went to a house party at the other side of town which was complete crap and couldn't get back home until the next day!
