Suggest a card for me

Hi everyone.

I'm in need of a graphics card for my rig. Its built already but had to avoid purchasing the card just before Xmas.

The budget is about 500 euros. It will be used mainly for gaming at 1980x1080. This is the first rig I've ever built so dont really know whats best.

My spec is

4670k @ 4.5ghz
Gigabyte D3HP
BeQuiet 650w PSU
Noctua NH-D14
G.Skill Ares 2133mhz 2x4gb

for 1080p I'd be looking at GTX780.

but even 280X would do.

you *need* SSD for that rig too.

Sorry I have SSD + 2 HDDs but didnt think about listing them.

Any particular GTX780 ? I see the R290 being mentioned a lot no matter where I look but I also see people having issues with them. Is that with the reference cards only ?

People here would probably say EVGA, but look at ASUS or MSI too.

I don't think non-reference 290 are available yet.

Ok thanks for your help. Ill have a look at the 780s and go from there
