Indeed. My old dear was terrible for tumble drying everything. Resulting in many shrunken clothes.

just had the missus ring done...STEADY

but that included full inspection of diamonds and full re -finish

ok... seems 40 quid is the going rate, i did want more, but looks like il have to do your ring for 40!

i cant promise it will shrink, but i doubt il make it any bigger....

... to my dismay.

For a temporary (and cheap) fix, you can try lining the inside of the ring with small bits of tape, reducing the inner diameter of the ring.

I had my gold one done, didn't cost that much maybe 10 - 15 quid

They compress it, so its gets a little wider

Local jewelers in town did it from me
