Which PC Fighting Game?

Hi all,

So as you may have seen, "Injustice" appeared on the Steam daily sales recently and I was quite tempted by it. Looking at reviews I saw "Mortal Kombat Komplete Edition" was mentioned (I think they use a similar engine). So I looked at this and am also tempted by this.
Then while thinking about fighting games I saw that "Super Street Fighter IV" and "Street Fighter X Tekken" asre both on offer too.

So my question is, which game(s) should I get from:
Injustice
Mortal Kombat Komplete Edition
Super Street Fighter IV
Street Fighter X Tekken

In the days of Street Fighter 2 (and all the variants) I preferred it to Mortal Kombat 1 or 2, but I've not played any of the newer breed of fighting games to know if that's still true.
I do know that large combo building was not a stong point of mine, at least in the older games.

Thanks.

I really really like Injustice, I just love the way the games plays, the moves/performance are spot on. I also own Mortal Kombat and SF IV. Although I do not have x Tekken so that may be better

recommend Super Street Fighter 4. It's stunning on the PC.

Especially so if you preferred Streets over Mortal Kombat - the core mechanics have not changed a huge deal...

Only word of warning however is that with Microsoft withdrawing GFWL next year unless the game gets patched, you will not be able to run it.

You may wish to wait for Ultra Street Fighter four which will not have any of the Games For Windows Live BS!

Fighting games are social games in my opinion, I don't get much pleasure from playing against the computer or even playing against random people online.

Its all about connecting two controllers to whatever system you have on your big tv in the living room and beating the **** out of your mate after you've been to the pub.

Mortal kombat won't even start for me gfwl I can't get pass start screen. What a waste of money

Not that Mortal Kombat, already have that one, I think that's Mortal Kombat Kollection or something. It was a bit disappointing to be honest. I remembered the games being better.

This is a new (well, newer) one.

The whole SSFIV being GFWL is disappointing though. Not a fan of that.

skullgirls

Good netcode and relatively new so you aren't going up against people with 5 years experience sank in to the game mechanics.
I think it's too late to catch up on sf4 personally too many people been playing it too long and your casuals semi skilled / lower skilled will be on the consoles.

x tekken is awful on pc mate, its literally unplayable online with the lag.

Street fighter 4 on the other hand has great netcode for the most part and i personally prefer it due to the timing required to execute the combos and frametraps etc.

MK and Injustice have dial-a-combo where you just mash out the buttons which is obviously fine if you are more into that. Despite the clunky graphics i do actually enjoy watching some injustice and i did buy it. Just havent really given it a go yet as i still enjoy trying to improve on street fighter.

KOF13 has good netcode and is a great port, but is really only for 'hardcore' fighting game players. The execution etc is on a whole other level so it really depends how hard you want it.

Ultra Street Fighter IV when that comes out, and King of Fighters XIII. Skullgirls is pretty good too. The rest are casual fighters, so it depends what you want out of them. Injustice and MK are a ton of fun, but have skill ceilings much lower than SF, KoF & SG.
