What would be a good power supply to power:

Intel i5 4670K
AMD R9 280x (pehaps enough juice for 2?)
Creative Soundblaster Z
TP Link Wifi Card
3x HDD
1x SSD
5 fans

on my gigabyte z87x-ud3h mobo?

hopefully a superflower PSU is gonna go on sale some time soon :D

Budget is up to 150. Modular - yes.

Whats better? Corsair RM 1000 or Superflower 1000w?

I like corsairs warranty service and their flay cables (maybe) but superflower has leds! ermahegewd

jeez it went up to 180.

the question was typed on my phone it was meant to read "what warranty does it have, is it with ocuk or with superflower"

OK I think I'll stick with 750w/850w as it seems a lot cheaper.

Any recommendations for black PSUs?

See post 7. :)

but..

Dat price.

Could I go with anything cheaper? Is the seasonic silent or quiter than the be quiet?

ooooooooooh the Superflower reduced to 140. Do you think this is as low as it would go in the next 2 months?

The seasonic us a great unit. It doesn't even soon the fan on low load. So it will be silent when just browsing or watching movies.

For a unit of that quality £110 is a great price.

As for the superflower, I doubt you'll see it much under £140 if atall ever. They are both good units. But id get the seasonic. More than enough power and a great unit at a good price.

Aye I understand that but wouldn't it be better spending the extra 30 now and getting a more powerful SuperFlower unit? I just want to help future proof as I might upgrade and I would like to always keep the power supply (one of the few parts that is actually reusable with better parts)

Ok well I'll ask another question while I'm at it: is my OCZ 500W ModXStream getting strained or anything? I want to upgrade in case this isn't ample enough for one r9 280x and my friend wants to purchase this off me for 35. Should I just not sell it and keep it? What power do I need to easily power 2 of this card?

Chances are you won't need a 1000w unit, majority of cards and getting more efficient and using less power.

I think a system with SLI 780'S only pulls around 500w ~

I think it's 500W with a very good quality PSU, I'd go with about 700/750W to be on the safe side, maybe 800-850.
