Hi there! We are looking to rent a house in the Nascot Wood Road / Tunnel Wood Road (WD17) area of Watford. Anyone familiar with this area? Love to have your comments.

We are a couple with a 7 months old baby and wish to raise her in a family-friendly safe neighborhood with good access to healthcare / nurseries as well as a sense of community. I work in Watford (WD24) and a short commute is important for us.

Thank you so much!!

My girlfriend used to live on Courtlands Drive before moving to Bath with me - I cycled along Nascot Wood Road all the time when travelling to the junction to catch the train. It's quite nice round there, only issues I've had are knob head drivers pushing through at the contraflows.

I own a flat in nascot wood wd17 and lived there from 1986-2010. Very nice area and perfect for a family. Will post more tmw but email pmkeates (email in his trust) if you want any specific info. (Email in my trust is broken).

So I'd had a couple of drinks when I posted yesterday. Had a wee look at user's profile and IP. Hmmmm.....

I lived there for a few years. Initially in a new 2 bed flat at the printworks development at the Croxley Green end of Whippendell road, and then in a 3 bed 3 storey town house in Cassio Metro (residents gym with pool, sauna, steam room, jacuzzi, spa pool etc).

Watford is basically just an average town, but certainly one of the nicer reasonably priced areas of outer London. To get noticably nicer you need to pay a lot more money.

Cassiobury park is great in the summer, and the transport links are fantastic.
