Jools Holland Hootenanny

It was the worst Hootenanny i have ever watched last night, the only decent act on was Haim and that was a zeplin cover (so technically still ****).

Are you referring to "Oh Well"? I thought it was a Zeppelin cover but it's originally by Fleetwood Mac, but yeah agree they were very good ...

I watched it at work last night. I though it was pretty good. Charlie Wilson was absolutely brilliant. The Lumineers were very good as well

Lisa Stansfield wasn't great though, and it was quite painful to watch Ray Davies really struggling.

Also, Mel C was cringeworthy!

i like them but seeing their gurning ugly faces was quite off putting and i had to turn over. :p

Same here. They were awful....I actually checked them out on Wiki to see if they were a joke band, and it was meant to be funny!

Did Dawn Penn hold things together when the band seemingly cocked up at the start of "No no no" or did I imagine that? I thought she did pretty well given her age. I liked the Proclaimers, Charlie Wilson and the Lumineers too.

No it doesn't bother me that it's pre-recorded.

Having worked New Years Eve, I'm enjoying it at the moment on iPlayer none the less.

Belated Happy New Year you all!

Did anyone else noticed that pretty everyone seemed to be pulling weird faces? Haim especially!

Also the "forced" joviality was so obvious.
