Hello motors

Has anyone got experience of the W219 Mercedes CLS?

Preferably the later CGI 3.5 V6 292BHP as it 20BHP on the non CGI engine.

Intrigued by the 5.5 V8 too but the later 388BHP version, not the lower 5.0 306BHP as it doesn't seem much worth it over the V6 IMO.

Potentially looking at one for a next car.

Need to know running costs, known problems etc.

Next car a big CLS Merc? Friend had a 320cdi, I didn't like it. Looks great though. It was a 2009 model.

Get a Skyline.

EDIT: I suspect it's his colleague having fun.

I get the feeling you will get bored of it quick.

I cant imagine the running costs of consumables for a high performance german luxury vehicle being remotely cheap.

This decision doesn't make sense. So would you keep the CR-Z along side it?

If not, then surely you can have a better car for maybe a little less then a CLS Merc. If you want an AMG, look at the C55 AMG. Really underrated but not all that bad cars.

Still, if you want performance. Supra/Skyline.

If you want to smoke about with some V8 howl for a bit then that's totally fine in the eyes of the Honda clique.

Why CLS though? What's the budget here?
