Guys\Gals is there any other company in china other then fasttech?
I only ask because they have stopped answering emails and other people have tried to contact them by phone but the line was dead.

I think Chinabuye and Alibaba are the other two biggest ones.

For form factor only the microstick can beat tube mech mods imo. I recently showed mine to a smoker at Manchester Royal Infirmary who tried egos but stopped vaping after the button broke on him.

He loved mine. He said for a tiny device it had a hefty weight to it. I told him where to buy it from and explained sometimes it's best to pay for quality. :D

I'm slowly cutting back or atleast I have settled down on my vaping journey. I'm going to get one of Marcus' VapeStations on UKV and I'm luckily enough to be trying it out soon. :)

I'd really like a Microstick actually but it's too much cash for me, especially once you get a spheroid or similar to put into it.

I'm quite happy tooting away on what I've got at the moment and there's not really a lot more i intend on buying. I'm really interested in the Atmizoo Lab whenever that comes out, and I've got a few more cheap drippers on the way from FT but nothing I don't already have one of.

I didn't vape until about 11:30 today and didn't even realise. Which is great when you consider that I was the sort of smoker who had to smoke before he could even function properly in the morning.

Right my kraken clone landed this morning, currently busy writing up a report but definitely going to take time to rebuild this later with the materials included, can't decide what style to attempt first with this being my first ever build.

Is the clone in the UK the same as the clone on fasttech? They should give more details, for example who the clone is made by, if it contains stainless steel or brass etc.

It's meant to be a HCigar clone from VapeGeek, seems to be stainless. Will wash it out later and think I'm going to try a U style silica wick to start with, still unsure at this minute though.

Wash it out in boiling water and some washing up liquid, scrub it well. Mine was filthy with machine oil. A brillaint atomiser, the best genesis I have. The AFC is what makes it very good.

Has anyone compared a protank 2 with cotton microcoil to a cheap RBA such as kraken or similar? How much of a difference is there?

I include about a Year's supply of 100% organic, pure cotton with my MicroCoiling Kits.

I've been having great success with 2.5mm SS Rope in my Genesis tanks - it takes a second or so longer to "ramp up" to temperature, but the speed it wicks and extra warmth it provides, plus the longer life (MicroCoiling and SS Wick can just be dry burned or given a quick blast with the blowtorch to remove any crud), is brilliant.
I've included a couple of precut, boiled and sterilised pieces in my most recent Kits and folk are reporting similar success - a piece of mesh or even Rizla wrapped between the coil and SS wick reduces shorts & hot spots.
Currently enjoying a genuine Kraken on Ti22 Bagua with dual SS Rope wicks and 0.25mm Kanthal MicroCoils at 0.9 ohm overall.

I still use cotton in my drippers and clearomiser heads - still the best I've found.

If you use washing up liquid, be sure to give it an overnight soak in either Isopropyl, cheap vodka or Milton - the washing up liquid leaves a residue that can be tasted when the Atty is used.

Mmm just noticed that the cotton I was using was "pure cotton" and not "organic cotton"... So I have probably been vaping some nice pesticide residue there... Got some Kanthal through today and some organic cotton so I can try a proper microcoil on the Protank. Meshcompany are very good, I asked to change my order to add some extra wire and they added it but did not charge me anything, pretty damn good service from them, usually throw in something free.

Ive given my Nemesis the day off and stuck my KFL back on my Provari for a change. Been months since I've not used the Nem....

Was using my nightstick (Vamo V5) last night too.

Several reasons, the Nemesis eats '350's for breakfast! I know their only little but it burns though them so quick. Stick the KFL on a 18650 vamo, or even the PVM and it seems to last for ever lol.

Other reason is the consistency of a mod with VW/WW. Yes i know i could get a kick or whatever but I forgot how nice it is to have the option to tweak the power.

Cant beat the little Nem/KFL for out and about though....

That's what puts me off buying a mech mod, have to remove the kick and turn it with a screwdriver to adjust wattage.

Sounds pretty similar to what I've just purchased! Where are you getting the kraken clone from? I hopefully have a hcigar one landing today. Also in the end I just ordered an Igo L dripper, for the price I forgot the looks.

From fleabay. There's at least two sellers on there, prices between £19.99 and £25. I also don't like the look of the IGO-L, so I'm currently researching other drippers but may come back to the IGO-L. I like the look of one of the other IGO drippers, can't remember which one.

If you're buying clones then my advice is to get the FastTech version of:
Nemesis
Nemesis magnets
Kayfun Lite Plus
---------------------
Batteries and charger from Torchy the battery boy
Microcoil kit from Redmogg (not sure if he includes cotton in his kit)

and be done with it. There are loads of coiling videos on YouTube to help you out. If you are new to rebuildables then coiling and wicking a Genesis may leave you frustrated.

Correct me if I'm wrong but the nemesis is a mechanical mod and doesn't show me resistance, voltage and watts? The Sigelei does all that and looks really nice. The Kayfun products don't have glass tanks as far as I've seen. The Kraken does and it has airflow control.

Fasttech will take ages, I'd rather pay a bit more for quicker delivery.

So, what's wrong with the Kraken clone and the Sigelei ZMax V5?

Vaperbreak, Healthcabin and Chinabuy come to mind

Vape mail today:D

At last!

Just waiting on a micro stick and then I'm done for now:rolleyes:

Wazz really jealous absolutely love the purple orchid!

Right it appears I'm an idiot and cannot test the kraken today, built a coil with the wire provided without knowing it's resistance did a simple 6 coil wrap but apparently the resistance is too low for my zmax with it constantly reporting low load. Guess I'm waiting until my wire and wick order turns up hopefully tomorrow.

Nothing at all except possibly the batteries and charger in that pack are not great... I would buy it seperately and get a good charger and IMR batteries, Kraken + zmax looks good though

Thicker wire = More wraps

Thinner wire = Less wraps

Thicker wire is lower resistance per metre than thin wire. So 5 wraps of .20mm wire will be similar resistance to 6/7 wraps of .25mm etc.

Yea I understand that however I was unsure as to what the thickness of the wire was so went for a conservative estimate based upon what I've seen around, may take a loop or two out to check but to be honest I've got mesh and wick materials coming tomorrow so I'll make a crack of it when I know what I'm using, wish I had a multimeter with me so I could see what it actually is!

My iTaste SVD died yesterday so I'm back using a Vamo.
The damn button just lost it's spring. I'll try disassembling it and maybe replacing the button but it looks to be surface mount from the pictures I've seen of the internals.

If I can't resurrect it, what mod should I replace it with? I like VV/VW as I vape lots of different flavours that need different wattages to taste just so. I don't like the feel of the Vamo in the hand but it will do for the minute until I decide what to buy.

The complete Sigelei kit is £64.99. How much more might I pay to get separate batteries and charger roughly? Do you actually know if the batteries and charger in the kit are not good?

Nitecore i2 you can get for about £15 off eBay, good charger and popular.

I got a pair of each, 18650 and 18350 from Torchy The Battery Boy on Ebay and they were I think £11 and £8 for each pair respectively and are pretty solid batteries.

I might get some Sony 30a ones soon and play with sub ohm a little bit. Can't find an amp limit for Torchy's own batteries so currently won't go below 1.0-1.2ohm just to be sure.
