It seems to me that sometimes you need to be an elite level 60 reading warrior to read the breaking news banner stories on the BBC news website. By my very unofficial counting, you get 5 seconds to read each story. It's fine if you are already reading the banner stories, but many times something, a longer sentence, will catch your eye but before you can read it all, it gets whisked away. I'm aware you can scroll back to it, but I can't be the only person irked by this!

I hereby demand a violent protest against the beeb to extend the count-down from 5 to a whopping 8 seconds. Who's with me!?

This is the most important thread you will read today.

I usually just scroll back. The one that gets me is the scroller on the tv channel, i always seem to catch the end of something, wait for the whole cycle to finish to see it again but then get distracted and miss it again! :p

It's usually pretty boring anyway, Nelsan Mandela's passing, Queen makes a speech, prince harry just winked at someone.
