Looking for a cheap Fifa game

Hi guys,

I just tried to run Fifa 08 on my Windows 8.1 system and it's not working. My son is keen to play and he's got some Xmas money left, so I'm looking for any bargains. I gave up buying Fifa after they stopped using the latest engines, citing that PC's didn't have the capability to match consoles. Idiots. However, I believe that Fifa 12 or 13 had the engine revamp that was on par with the consoles? Am I right in thinking that again they didn't match the engine in Fifa 14? Which version should I look at getting?

Fifa 14 on PC is the exact same as the 360 and PS3 versions, however the PS4 and Xbone version are running on a new engine.

Yeah, same ******** excuse they used before. No thanks. Am I right in thinking that 12, 13 and 14 all use the same engine on the PC?

Haven't played anything but 14 on PC and it's exactly the same as the now "old" generations, but yes they have a different engine on the new generations. Thinking logically, I assume that 12 and 13 also run off of the same engine of that on the X360/PS3.

Used to be brilliant. Haven't enjoyed one since PES6 though. The latest is terrible

Plus the Konami servers for PES are even worse than EA servers, which is an achievement in itself.

Regardless of what engine they are on Fifa 13 & 14 are both good games in my opinion. 13 can be had pretty cheap on the Origin store.
