Details Regarding Nvidia Geforce GTX 790 Finally Surface – 4992 Cuda Cores and 10 GB of Memory

In October I had the best Nvidia Card going, 2 months later it's the third in-line! Jesus

They just love making sure gamers upgrade often.
 
I managed to skip the 600 series and hope to do the same with the 800 series unless it's a real performance upgrade but as stated above probably will not be till late this year early next year.

yet the games are coded like they where in the 90s your 780 will last you a helluva long time to come
 
That's a pretty beast card, you know it's going to have 4 digits to the price. Looking forward to Kaapstad buying it and putting it through Heaven 4.0 ;) in SLI :o
 
I wonder how much this will cost - it's probably better for someone to get 2 780s rather than one of these, but I'll wait for the price tag before judging.
 
Well in terms of manufacture cost there is no reason for it to cost more than double really. Some beefier components but I would have thought money saved on PCB components and manufacture. But companies like product profit margins maintained, and marketing wise this if the equivalent of '2 cards'. Also flagship=silly price which in marketing also serves as justification of it's status.
