Mercedes CLS talk to me

i have a CLS55 AMG.

It's a great car, thunderous performance - feels quicker than my 911 turbo actually.

They look amazing for a 12k car,

Not sure what else to say, they are very thirsty - not too sure about running costs yet as i've not used it an awful lot. It's very comfy for my plymouth - chester weekly run though.

Finally a good post :D

Pics please :D

Not sure I'd be stretching to an AMG version though

From what I recall it's based on the E Class, but coming later on managed to avoid most of the wiring/electronics issues the E was all about when it came out.

Uncertain but I think the 5.0/5.5 has the airmatic - is it airmatic, or whatever it's called - whereas it's optional on the 350.

I forget what else, CGI appears to be a lot more worthwhile than the previous 3.5, same as with the 5.5 vs 5.0 in my opinion.

Was ferried about for about 2 weeks in an AMG CLS, it was very nice, the brakes were amazing. Not sure about the non AMG ones, go big or go home mate. Both engines could get you in trouble if you prat about, so I would want one with the wheels/suspension/brakes to aid me in my times of need rather than relying on the standard non AMG non genuinely sporty equipment.

Just don't get a V6 or you will always be hankering for a V8.

The CLS's I have been in have been lovely, but they will change your driving style to one of sedate wafting, probably a good thing.

How did you crash both Supras?
Was it a case of being reckless?

If it is the case, wouldn't any of the above cars be a bad choice?

Sometimes he thinks he lives in Tokyo.

As someone said Earlier, 335i? I mean, I love V8s, but it will be faster, cheaper...ish?

Unless you're just after a big V8 Barge to woft in, then go for it.

Yeah a common ole 3 series or a CLS, would be no comparison for me. As good as the 3 series is, it will just be another 3 series on the road which most couldn't tell from a 320D. The CLS at least has a degree of exclusivity.

Oh and good luck beating a CLS55 in a 335i at the traffic light GP :D Faster it is not.

do you work at ocuk nath?

I will be there at some point on Thursday to take back a hard disk, you can have a look at it then if you like

CLS vs a 3-series is a complete non comparison in my mind, the two are poles apart.

I'm not sure you will like a CLS55 though nath if Japanese stuff is your thing, they are basically an E-Class, which is a fairly heavy and soft feeling car.

yeah, they are heavy - the airmatic suspension helps the handling enormously though and the steering is much quicker than the e class

Airmatic is a very soft system, these cars don't have proper ABC like the S, SL & CL models.

Just saying that he might find it too boaty :) My choice wouldn't be a CLS, i'd change up to one of the above personally.

Yeah but I have been driving a hybrid honda fairly sedately for the last year.
