for the vast majority of uses one or two 780ti's or even 780's would be the better choice (in actual FPS terms the 780 is not massively behind the ti and overclocks very close - but the ti is the "absolute best" if you really wanted to go for that)
the only time you would consider going Titan would be 3-4 cards for extreme high resolutions like 4K or 7680x1440, if you have the money to burn and gaming is your primary hobby
new, no. Second hand definitely (price dependant).
The possibility of the 790 GTX @ 5GB per core could possibily make the Titan completely redundant for gamers.
only if you have a very specific need for 6GB of VRAM, otherwise its crazy.
I'd hope we see a 6GB 780Ti at some point, or perhaps just wait on maxwell
Otherwise no, titan is more expensive and slower.
I would say no, if buying now it would be 780 or 780ti or amd R290 or R290x
If not then save up for this year line up 20nm![]()
780ti has full GK110 spec and it's much cheaper. Is it still worth buying GTX TITAN now?
How much cheaper is it now? (Don't mention competitors) I paid £820 each for mine.

most games are not optimized for dual-core card like 690 or 790 in near future.
Playing with dual-core cards may cause problem.
Not true at all and a complete blanket statement.
i think it's 899 each now, which brand did you buy? asus?
Most places with stock are charging more than release prices
So £79 more than what I paid on launch day. Titan is EOL, so they are in no rush to sell them and certainly will not be selling them cheaper.
Yer, I looked around for the possibility of Tri-SLI but couldn't see these cheaper prices anywhere![]()
why I cannot use 3-4 780ti for extreme high resolutions like 4K or 7680x1440?
If I recall correctly, 20nm has been delayed.
