Madeleine McCann's parents

So they panicked?

There is a ready market for stolen passports, watches and jewellery, where do you flog a stolen child?

I can just see it now,

"Hey boss, I can't find and Rolex watches what should we do?"

"Er, take one of the kids, Fat John will take her off our ands for a monkey."

That bears no resemblence to the scenario I described, so it's not a counter-argument. I talked about a possible panicked response to an unexpected witness.

Also, there is a market for very young children. But that's not the cause of the kidnapping in the scenario I raised as a possibility.

Look at the post I responded too, I questioned the idea that a bunch of burglars panicked and then decided to take a child instead.

Do you think a person goes from working in a office to baby snatching?
They most likely move up to it via their mates in their world.

Anyway lets hope she is found alive and well.

Because I'm interested in the vain attempts at relaunching this into the media by the McCanns every time, but all the while finding it rather tiresome they are milking it so badly.

The high volume of calls could have just been them arranging where to go next.

I suspect the high volumes of calls is the police suggestion something completely out of the norm. ie: They burgled regularly... But that night they were making lots of calls because of something unusual...

And I would suspect the location of the calls/phones could also place them near to the scene, and at suspicious times?

It's so obvious they did it.

Their body language, the things they say, everything really.

The kicker was the Cadaver dogs alerting the police to a dead corpse smell in THEIR HIRE CAR, and of course the blood found in the back of the car also.

Isn't it judgement day for Team McCann tomorrow with their libel case in Portugal?

From what I have picked up on on Twitter etc it hasn't exactly been going to plan for them. I might be wrong but from what I understand is the Judge says they have to prove the book 'The Truth of the Lie' actually hampered the search for Madeline.

Since they had the book banned (overturned later) and confiscated (never returned despite the overturning) then it is difficult to see how it hampered the search. They have also been refused the request to take the stand themselves and an important supporter and witness Marinho Pinto backed out.

If the newspapers are to be believed the fund is running low and they thought it was a fore gone conclusion they would win this and top it up with the compensation. Their website has been closed to donations since well before Xmas.

A further blow to them if they don't win is their millionaire backer Mr Kennedy double glazing tycoon was up till recently covering their legal costs but has pulled out due to his own financial commitments.

Seeing they use the world feared Carter Ruck I would imagine the legal costs would be astronomical by now.

To top it off Scotland Yard announced the investigation has now topped 6.2 million pounds and is likely to reach 10 million before a conclusion is reached. DCI Andy Redwood's reply to the cost was 'All this has produced a large volume of work'.

I can't make head nor tail of that statement.
