Hi guys, i'm going to be building my first PC. I am obviously very excited but also nervous about making sure I have the right parts and hoping it will all work correctly. With the help of friends they have given me a list of parts (under my budget £600-£700) but I would appreciate any extra advice. Also after reading some additional information, I am nervous about my CPU cooler, as it is regarded as very 'big' and can have apparent problems when fitting in Memory (RAM). Any advice or help will be greatly appreciated! :D

- I've put a 270X in for the GPU. It's pretty much the same as a 7870, so get whichever is cheaper (assuming the one you listed is a non-reference ASUS)

- The motherboard isn't made by Asrock, which is a good start (their current-generation motherboards don't have the best reputation for build quality). It also has great onboard audio.

- PSU is gold-rated.

- RAM is faster and low profile

-The Dark Rock Pro 2 is the better cooler, but it is quite expensive given your budget.

- The HDD is on Today Only offer. 1TB for under £40! Makes me feel old.

Very nice under £700 mate.

I'm assuming you need a dvd-drive and OS too?

Do you intend to OC in the future? otherwise you could step down a bit with the CPU and mobo and get SSD?

I don't believe I am getting a dvd-drive for now and yes I will be getting an OS. I would like to OC at a later time, but I am more than happy with the CPU and standard specs I initially stated. I have already purchased the Seagate Barracuda as suggested by 'Fulax' due to the one time offer, also the motherboard (z87) suggested I believe will be a good investment, thanks for the suggestions.
