It is Awesome, haven't put it down yet!

Yes, usually takes a tank to bed in. I have had the same SS wick in my Temon(and probably my DID too) for about three months, I just dry burn it now and then and sometimes a quick rinse with water.
I don't notice with tobacco flavors, I have the last of my DIY apple pie and custard in the Temon now and it tastes better than my Spheroid with cotton!

As we all know taste is subjective, I just prefer mesh in my gennies ;)

Tobacco I find is fine too, it's just snake oil that leaves a weird taste. I've not tried custard in it yet though, will put in Monkey Jizz later this week.

SS wicks (Mesh/Rope) really need boiling & rinsing thoroughly before you start using them in your Atties. The sheer amount of crud (machine oil in particular) that comes out of the 7x7 rope when boiled is crazy.
I've compared untreated SS Mesh & Rope and boiled, soaked in Milton overnight then rinsed with boiled water, and even after torching red hot, priming with juice and setting light to, the Stainless taste remains on the untreated wick and takes a good few tanks to disappear.
It is a little extra effort beforehand, but thoroughly cleaning the wick before use makes such a difference to the taste (cleaner, no metallic tang), that I even do it for the sample pieces of SS Rope I send out with my kits.

The Igo L dripper arrived today and although I am on a deadline I took a quick 10 minutes to set it up and all i can say is wow! I can see why people rave about drippers, built using 4 wraps of .2 Kanthal A1 and a length of 3mm silica for wick firstly I believe this is the best coil I've built this far but as for performance of the dripper the taste is just so intense with amazing vapour production!

Vaping it with Mrs Lords Kendal Mint Cake and the peppermint initial taste is brilliant with such a nice cooling finish, I'll probably continue to vape it for the rest of the day and then when i get a chance try and wrap a .15 Kanthal dual coil using silica wick ones again and see what happens!

You ain't tasted nuthin' yet!
Wait until you give a dual Microcoil with Cotton setup a try...

...(Trust me for details of my MicroCoiling Kits) :p

Haha afraid I have a starter kit from the Vape Mesh company... So i'll give microcoil .15 Kanthal a go, really need to get a good build on the Kraken Clone want something nice to Vape vanilla custard all day out and about.

On that note any recommendations for Grants Vanilla Custard or Kings Vanilla Custard? Heard both are rather good and well it is loan day today...

Kings Custard is good, GVC is overrated, Steamgunk's Captain Custard is good, Accies Ambrosia (PM Accies on UKVAPERS forum ) is bloody brilliant, but not quite a custard, more a spiced milk without so much overpowering vanilla.

Another vote for Kings Custard here, ive still got 30ml or so left of GVC but since vaping kings custard...i just dont like the taste of GVC anymore although ill probably fill up my spheroid later tonight and give it a go with a cotton microcoil.

Just waiting for the new GP Heron atty to be released and that will complete my atty collection for the time being. Might look at selling my provari mini now as i tend to use my GP paps x most of the time in and out of the house.

Well i guess Kings Custard is the one to try! Need to order some more Custard Cream juice as well managed to get through half the 15ml bottle in 5 days, it's just so brilliantly tasty.

Then maybe a fogger v3 / kayfun or something similar and a simple mod and I'll be on vape buying hiatus for a while...

Sorted the VV burning issues, I think I was just sucking on the thing like it was a homemade bong ;) Slowed it all down and all is well. Day 4 and no stinkies - not even a thought of a stinky (although a slight sore throat).

Got a kraken clone, hasn't gone as well as planned with coils n wicks. Back to the drawing board !!!

I know this feeling! I think the only solution is to persevere, I built a coil for a dripper today and it was brilliant, just shows it's going to be practice practice practice!

This^^
We have all been there when we first started, but practice make perfect
Try a microcil and cotton, they are really east to do and give a great vape?
here is aguide to microcoil a kayfun, but the process would be the same foe a dripper until step 9 or so

Seriously to anyone trying micro coils and cotton, the only really fiddly part is getting the amount of cotton right - but when you cant get it right for 4 days it starts to become annoying as heck lol.
Been trying to get my kayfun going, and for some reason i cannot get a decent one going - all 4 times ive had it working for a couple of hours and then bam it goes dry and burns, sick of tasting cotton, at least a silica dry hit is bareable lol, starting to wonder if my micro coils are the issue, all are 8 wraps of .32 kanthal around a 2mm drill bit using the greigster coiling buddy, i may try a 1.5mm later but thats going to need a serious amount of wraps for 1.4ohms (12?~)

I've tried 1.5mm microcoils and for me 2mm certainly works better, easier to rewick too. I've found 9 wraps of .32 to be my sweet spot, though this is likely different for everyone.

I've often heard people saying don't block the juice channels which i've found to be bad advice (though may be true if using silica?). I make sure the deck is nicely covered with the wick both sides and never get dry hits or seepage from the air hole.

Although the other night I was happily vaping away whilst browsing the net oblivious to my empty tank - A mouthful of burnt cotton is indeed quite nasty.

The amount of cotton shouldnt be an issue really, at least for me it isnt. Every micro coil i have done comes out pretty good.

I tend to use just enough cotton to that its not too freely moving within the coil ie it fits in there nice and snug. Also when you prime your wick, the cotton will expand once you put a few drops of juice.

But my method is take a piece of cotton and roll/squeeze it between your fingers, make one end very pointy and slide that through the coil and pull it through till its nice and snug between the coils. Then snip off the ends but make sure you have enough on each end so that it wicks properly. On my Kayfun, i snip the ends where the deck ends then screw on the chimney. out of the 6 micro coils i have done, not once i have had an issue.

Put up a pic of your microcoil with cotton so we can have a look at it and see where you are going wrong.

Ill grab a pic of it once this tank is empty, thinking i need to change my micro coils anyway, currently coiling at 1.4ohms for the mechs, but im using my Nucliec DNA recently so that would work better around the 2.0ohm only issue is .32 is going to require a ton of wraps to reach that, which i dont think it will work as the middle part of the cotton will dry out before the ends.

All this talk of coils go me thinking....

My current microcoil is now almost two months old! (Obviously the wick isn't!)

It gets a good clean and dry burn, rinse under the tap etc so it looks like new before i re wick it.

I really should change it....

Anyone have any advice for a decent setup on my kraken clone so genesis style atty. I have .2 and 1.5mm kanthal and a selection of ss mesh, silica in 2 and 3mm and ekowool in 2 and 3 mm as well. Current setup is SS mesh around ekowool but I believe my problem is the coil.
