Need to install speakers in kitchen for TV and iPad

I have a TV in the kitchen. It's 20 inch and the speakers are awful.

I can't simply have active speakers because I want to install them quite far from a power source. So I'm guessing some satellite speakers connected with speaker cable but I need an amp to run them. I have no space, so what's the smallest cheapest amp that can run a pair of satellite speakers. And what satellite speakers are small, wall mountable and cheap.
Sound quality is not an issue, I just want it to be audible.

With regards the inputs the amp needs, well the TV has a headphone out so either 2 x 3.5mm input/phono input should be enough.

The second input would be for a bluetooth audio receiver which I'm hoping would take signal from the ipad and output it to the amp. Anyone have that system in place?

Any alternative setups that you guys can suggest?

You could get a cheapo Chinese t-amp of some sort as long as your not planning on playing stuff at silly volumes. I used a Muse M50 for a little while that was surprisingly good, but if your only running satellite speakers you could probably go for something smaller like a TA2020 T-amp.

That looks good. The Muse amps look especially good but only have one input.

On some of the T-amps there are 2 inputs. A 3.5mm and a phono. which looks ideal, but there doesn't seem to be a switch between them. Any idea how that works? Is it either or, or can i plug 2 devices in?

I'm sure I've seen some with two inputs and there is usually a switch, try searching for a Topping TP22.

That's awesome. £70 though. The others start from £10 (£20 including a power adaptor).
I was thinking of installing a similar system in the bedroom but I only need that for the iPad. I think I'll buy a cheap £10-£20 one, if that works great, if not I'll move it and upgrade to the Topping.

Thanks for the help.

Ideally. Unfortunately live in a flat and have concrete ceilings. SO too much effort to even attempt. Just going to put them wall mounted right in the corner.

Unfortunately they're single input but provide you two options of connecting your source - phone or 3.5mm jack.

If you require multiple source inputs then you need to look at TP22's or similar.

You're not supposed to do it but I can't see what problems connecting one input to each would do. Just mute the TV when you want to use the Bluetooth.

Or get a cheap passive mixer.

Just split the input it's fine as long as you turn the tv off or mute when your listening to music. I've got a couple of Chinese t-amps driving wharf dale modus cubes and they sound more than good enough for your needs.
