Hi folks,

Currently in the final stages of buying and building my first rig. Just 3 pieces left to get and they are:

  • PSU
  • Case
  • Mobo

In my basket at the moment i have:
YOUR BASKET
1 x Gigabyte 990FXA-UD3 AMD 990FX (Socket AM3+) DDR3 Motherboard £104.99
1 x Corsair CS650M 650W Semi-Modular 80+ GOLD Certified Power Supply (CP-9020077-UK) £79.99
1 x Antec One Gaming Case - Black £49.99
Total : £249.07 (includes shipping : £11.75).

Ready and waiting i have:
8350, MSI r9 280x, G.Skill 8gb (2*4), Corsair h80i and an OEM lite-on dvd drive.

I'll be sticking in 3 Sata drives and more than likely an SSD.

So to cut a long story short, will the 650w PSU cover all that.

I was after a 750w but i don't have the funds on the credit card to cover it (it's only like £4 and won't clear in time) and the Mobo is this week only.

Apologies if that was a bit long winded and maybe even in the wrong area!

Thanks :P

What's your total budget? Also I wouldn't pick that PSU I would be looking at one of the Superflower or Sea Sonic

With the mobo and case i've got around £100 to play with but with shipping it takes it down to around £75-80. Not the biggest amount i know.

I had a look at the superflower and the seasonics. But Superflower ones in my range aren't modular and the seasonic ones are a bit too expensive i feel.

If i had the free shipping from forum posts it would be all good :p

You know i've had the 200r in my basket for about 3 days but today was when i decided against it. Great minds and all that :p

Ordered that setup.

Thanks :)

Didn't even see that Danny but it might be too late as he already ordered it but you might be able to change it but I wouldn't go through too much hassle as the 650w will power your machine no problem.

Yeah, I didn't see Aird's post saying he'd ordered till I posted. And 650W will be fine.

D'oh!

Is it possible to change the order for future proofing and all that?

It's an easy task to swap something in orders, and getting a slightly more powerful PSU which will undergo a little less stress, for the same price, is a pretty good deal you can take advantage of.

"Order Enquiry" section. Just give them the link and present price for the new item and state you want the original item replaced. OcUK are good sports. :)
