Nexus 7 2013 Sleep/Wake case

Hi all.

Anyone having trouble with a Nexus 7 (2013) with a sleep/wake case. I bought a case for mine, and it doesn't wake the tablet when I open it. I'm currently blaming the case - and have contacted the manufacturer about it.

I did try attempting to trick it into to sleeping by holding a magnet near the left edge.. that didn't sleep it either though.

I got the smart folio case recommended by the rainforest at the same time as ordering the nexus a few weeks back. Works perfectly for sleep/wake.

Do you have a fridge magnet / any other magnet. Could you try holding it to the left side of the N7, I'm not sure what I'm doing is a valid test.

I have a poetic case and mine stated doing exactly what you describe, it was really starting to annoy me. It fixed itself when I upgraded to 4.4. Couldn't begin to explain why, my guess would be some piece of software was messing up the wake and when I upgraded the firmware it got reset /overwritten or something.

Sorry I sent the nexus back and just ordered a gpad today as wanted the larger screen.

I have the same case and experienced the same issue temporarily which was also fixed when the upgrade happened.

I have the poetic case, have no issues with it and couldn't be happier. Although I was already on 4.4 when I got it.
