Car hit on my street

it's not like he has a dynamometer in his garden

Yeah because that would be the only thing to annoy your neighbours wouldn't it. Air tools, people coming and going all day, cars everywhere, general noise, air compressors, pollution etc etc. If he is truly running a 8 hour a day five day a week garage its going to be a noisy dirty affair. This is why commercial and residential premises are not the same thing.

Had statements from the police now, nothing else has happened.

Also to get a better idea of my cars position, here is a pic from a better angle, the car had not been moved since being hit.

It is pretty retardly parked to be honest, you have the entire street to put that car somewhere and you choose literally the worst place ever.

Though its her fault she hit it, a simple paint match should be pretty easy to prove...the rest is a waiting game.

Remember this is a quiet cul-de-sac, there isn't a high volume of traffic. The street is also very full. I wouldn't normally park here but it's for sale and I was hoping it would get spotted, our drive has a wall around it.

Could drive a couple of busses through there!

I wouldn't park my car there but perfectly acceptable on a quiet road and not expect to be hit. She's a typical idiot driver. Have they admitted fault yet?

Not heard a peep from them, maybe they are hoping I give up or something? Worried about how much the police will actually do.

It's not a great time when I'm trying to sell the car, I have been tempted to get it fixed. Though I haven't had a single call yet.

First off, this is her fault and she should own up and pay.

The reason stuff like this puts your insurance up if you go down that route is people who make efforts to be a lower risk do deserve the bonus of cheaper insurance, nobody seems to have pointed this out yet:

My mum was the witness to this :p

Just to backup Nick, that side of the road is pretty much always full, and if his car was not there, someone else would be, always is.

And about his Dad, i've lived next door to them most of my life, and it's awesome having a mechanic next door :) Never hear any noise either.

And for the people asking if she is fit, HELLLL NAWWWWWW!!!!, spade + face etc.

Update: I called the police to see what was happening. They studied the CCTV and said it's not possible to see if there is contact as my car doesn't appear to move at all. They said there isn't enough evidence and to let my insurance deal with it. I don't want the insurance hassle so will just have to pay for the repair myself. :(

The Suzuki Swift looks more battered by the day, she clearly can't drive.

At the end of the day good drivers who can actually drive at young age, get big quotes from insurance companies because of idiots like her...
I'm not being sexiest here, as chavs should be also blamed for the big quotes. They should also make some age limit for driving a car, today we nearly got hit by an old guy in Honda Jazz. Not the first time and not last...

I'd just keep pressing it until the police do something about it. You said there's plenty of evidence - the damage to her car, the witnesses, and pictures.

They're clearly trying to fob you off as they can't be bothered with it.

Agree, you have witnesses, don't accept being fobbed off.
