I bought the Corsair K70 mechanical keyboard not so long so i thought id do a quick review.

On first impressions its a very beautiful keyboard and will look slick in almost any set up.
It comes in 2 colours the black and red and the silver and blue, I bought the black and red.
Both come with a brushed aluminium back plate with looks extremely eye catching. Included with the keyboard are a set of FPS optimized keys W,A,S,D and 1-6, which are textured and have a slight concave on end keys, they also happen to be red.
This keyboard comes with no extra Macro or "Gaming" keys, however it does come with a textured metal volume "up & down" scroll (which I personally love). Your standard Media control keys Play, Stop, Mute etc.
The LED back light is also a brilliantly designed it has individual back key lighting with 3 brightness settings along with also being Key by Key customizable.

Pros:
Beautiful design
Features are minimalistic but perfect for what you need in reality
LED Customisation and function
Cherry reds feel amazing to game and type with.
Comes in 3 mechanical versions
Easy to install plug & play
Quality cable sheathing (always welcome in my books)

Cons:
Price costs £99
(had to think of something)

Bought mines 2 weeks ago. Black with cherry reds.

Still very happy with it although i think i may try the original wasd keys to really compare as i automatically switched out those keys for the red replacements.

Slight niggle would be in the volume scroll. Its perfectly fine just that i was expecting a more weighted action or some feedback but just feels, well light and aluminium lol.

Again i am very happy with my choice and i certainly won't be going back to the horrid g15v2 it replaced.

I know what you mean about the WASD keys.

For FPS these are fine, but for typing the curvature makes a difference, and I can't see the original ones being that bad for FPS games either. I probably would have preferred them to be the default shape but with the textured feel rather than curved.

May swap them back for a bit and see :-)

Otherwise very happy with my new K70 *click click click*.

I'm buying this keyboard this week but I'm stuck between brown or red switches. I play FPS games mostly. BF4 mainly with games like Left 4 Dead, Skyrim ect on the side.

Any preference on Brown v Red?

Edit: Currently use Razer Lycosa

I also have a k70 with reds. Its my first mechanical keyboard and I wasn't sure if the reds would be the best for me but i'm glad I went with them over the browns. They are absolutely fantastic and perfect for gaming.

I've previously had gaming keyboards from Logitech but this thing is leagues above in every way. Love it.
