I love visiting this forum but think it needs a revamp.

I like the cuisine and home and garden sub-forums but I think for the computing side there are too many that people don't visit/post in often enough to warrant their own section?

The 19 Hardware sections could easily be reduced to 1/2 that amount without losing their meaning. (I think people ignore most of them anyway and post in general hardware.)

You also have "mobile phones and tablets" and "Laptop and tablets" sections one in hardware the other in life

I think less is more in this case.

There should really be 2 complete duplicate sets, with the other known as "Fora" for the purists.

Or just bite the bullet and deal with everything through the civilised, informational debatorium that is General Discussion...

The only one I think could possibly be incorporated in to GH is Optical Storage and Writing, and maybe Apple Hardware and Software combined to one section.

The number of hardware forums is about right. They are a goldmine of knowledge and you can get straight to the point when seeking help, advice or information. A dilution of these would just result in a hotchpotch of diluted information.

I guess a lot of people would stop browsing because there would be such a mix of info most of it irrelevant to be the person browsing. Having many different sections is part of what makes this forum great.

I agree about the tablet thing, and party about the general hardware part. The lesser used sub forums get looked at so little that any questions are not often answered hence why people just write in gen hardware.
