LG G Pad 8.3

Just got to decide on a rom really. No point installing apps until i have one as i will just lose them. Not using tablet in mean time which kind of makes it useless. So its cm11 or PA, there are no comparisons out there. Are the cm11 bugs fixed for you now? Game wise?

no things like dead trigger wont load and XBMC wont work with touch, i think most of the roms have the same issues

I ordered two sets of screen protectors for this by accident. Any one interested in a pack of three? Cost me 6.60 and I would like the same back.

FAO Mods: if this is against forum rules please delete post. :)

Just ordered on of these. £200
Have been tormenting myself for a while over what to get to replace my failed Dell XPS laptop. Have see-sawed one way and another and eventually plumped for this one.

Pros
Full HD screen
holdable and useable as a book for Kindle stuff
android - have apps on my phone and like the eco system
expandable memory via SD
Price seems good for a device this spec and size

Cons
Lg not a brand I normally would buy
4.2.2 Jelly Bean and LG bloatware
Snapdragon 600 chip vs 800

Having considered surface's, various other windows tabs and even the dreaded Apple I think this device gets close to what I need and its not too expensive. I looked at a lot of tablets in PC world the other day and concluded that 10" was too big to use comfortably as a handheld device and 7 inch was too small for extended browsing sessions. Ipad mini retina has a fabulous display and is a nice size but 16gb is £300+ and of course you cant expand it. Itunes syncing with a windows pc is also a nightmare in my experience.

Hopefully this will be just the trick

After waiting too long on the yet to appear Nexus 10 I gave in and purchased one of these, not happy with the battery life, approx 5 hours screen time , I`l give it a few cycles, if it doesnt improve its going back.

Mine arrived yesterday and I think its a nice device with some nice touches in the LG interpretation of JB 4.2. However the screen has two yellow blooms at the bottom and a faint yellow line at the top. I have read that other UK buyers have this and similar issues so am currently debating whether or not to return it. I accept that IPS screens are never perfect and that you can get degrees of backlight bleed etc but this looks more like poor assembly.

its made less noticeable by configuring the device to have a black nav buttons surround but I have a feeling it might annoy me. I hate the hassle of sending stuff back so I will see how I feel over the weekend before making a decision.

Who did you purchase from? I got mine from co-op ,their returns policy looks less good than amazon
