2014 Golf R Lease Deal

You'd have to really want one to take a 9+24 though, that's a large upfront fee considering you're never getting any of it back.

Cheapest mk6 R I can see is about 24.5k at 2.5 years old. Think they were what, £30k new? Possibly better just buying one, looks like it'd be close

This is probably a really stupid question but what does the "9+24" or "6+23" mean in deals like this? I'm assuming the '24' is the length of the term, is the '9' the number of months' worth you have to pay upfront or..?

You'd probably be better off buying one and taking your chance on residuals, PCP probably compares quite well too.

However when you consider the same lease firm are charging 9 quid per month less for an Audi A3 1.6 TDI it looks cheap in comparison

Looks nice, but in comparison to the m135i deals there have now unfortunately been pulled it looks expensive.

Madness how people can throw away money like this each month. You southerners earn too much :p

It's still a good deal though regardless of what people throw their money away on! I bet that an Audi S3 or A45 AMG would be considerably more.

Apparently there will be some new BMW deals on Monday, unclear if it will include/match the previous ridiculous m135i deals though.

Let's be fair, this isn't just a "Golf".

It kind of is. 80% of the time you will have a car in front limiting your acceleration and corner speed. FOr that 90% of the time you're sat in a Golf that's no different to the 1.4TSI version. Only 10% of the time will you get to put your foot down with a smile on your face.

I take it the R is the 2.0TSI pumped up to 300hp the same as the Audi S3? I'm getting an S3 soon but I know for the most part it'll be exactly the same as my current A3, just country roads will be a little more scary and I'll have to pay more for petrol.
