Msi Gaming GTX780 running at PCI-e x16 V1.1

sorry for the long winded title
just downloaded GPU-Z and everything appears ok, but have spotted something
it says that my 780 is running at PCI-e x16 v1.1 and not v3.0 as it can

is there anything to worry about?
or anything i can do to remedy this?

Run the render test to see if it jumps up to x16 3.0. When idle, it drops down.

I have just ran that, as soon as it starts up it immediately jumps to v3.0
So is this normal then?
