Bald head. Choice or not?

I started doing a number 1 for my face and head back in 2005, met my now wife about 3 weeks later. She has confirmed that if I'd kept it the way I had she'd never have looked twice at me lol, seems I suit it although to be fair I vastly prefer not having hair.

I would shave my head but I've got one scar from an operation which is incredibly difficult to shave as it's on the back of my head, so I opt for the number 1 instead.

I also wear glasses btw ;)

I am follicly (sic) challenged, through genetics. I care not. I give myself a #1 all over which doesn't actually cut that much hair as it's too thin on top to actually grow long enough to cut :p I've been doing it for about 8 years.

I have used a beard trimmer to cut my hair, with the guard off. That is still a little too thick for me. I now shave with a razor but it can be a bind to do. Looking at maybe an electric triple foil shaver for the head now.

Anyone use one for the head?

Guys, are you bald through choice or not?

I am through choice. I shave my head with a razor! Any of you do the same?

What do you use and your routine and why?

I use a Gillette Sensor with Wilkinson Sword Shaving cream and shaving brush.

I shave my head every 4 days or so.

Hair on the head is uncomfortable for me. I am losing it but not drastically

Clippers once a week. Lost it at 21. think it was because I'd just gotten a motorbike and used to scare the **** outta myself on a daily basis!!!

Shaving it off would cause more problems though as I would get untold stick at work & I think I would look completely stupid being bald & wearing glasses.

Grow a goatee and rock the Walter white look.

I have a larger forehead than I did a few years ago, but I haven't quite got to that point of no return yet. I'd shave it off though. No doubt about it. Own it.

Not by choice.

I used to have shoulder-length hair till I was about 31, and then it got to the point when I just had to get rid of it. It was immensely upsetting and took me months to get over it.

I now do a #1 every week and it does look awesome, I have to say. I also have quite a decent goatee as well. So I look like some kind of sinister Nazi, which is fine by me.

I'm balding and have a huge bald patch. Used Toppik on my wedding day for photos, it's fantastic stuff :p

You wouldn't believe my crown is basically bald.

I look like a younger version of him (with better glasses) :D

Mine is receeding slowly (from the temples) but I wear glasses so not shaving it at the moment, once it starts going proper will ditch the glasses and start shaving it.

I started losing my hair in my early 20s (now 27) also, thanks to sweet, sweet family genes.
Was absolutely devastated at the time, self confidence plumeted and I spent the coming years trying to hide and doing the best I could with it (without the comb over look :D) but it when was thinning pretty badly on top, a couple of years ago I thought enough was enough.
Grade 0 all over, I felt relieved and for the first time in years felt like I was in control.

Last Halloween, I grew a goatie, threw on some chinos, a shirt and some glasses and went as Walter White. Good times!

I urge anyone who is losing their hair, that they grab clippers/razor and bid a fond farewell to those last thin hairs clinging to your head!

My daughter recently found a picture of me from 2001 and couldn't stop laughing that I actually used to have hair :D

I'd love to go commando but as mentioned my moles will stick out a little too much. I might see if I can get them removed.

I started losing mine by the time I was 19. It took a few years before I admitted defeat and went for No4, but I wish I'd done so earlier. Now I keep it about stubble level.

#4 is just too much for me. For a long time I told myself that #3 or #4 was fine but it's really not. #1 is the way to go, or #2 very max.

Haven't tried 0 yet.

Shave bald (by choice) about once a month. I do it because my hair (and nails) grow stupidly fast. About 1-2 days after i've freshly shaved it coming through already, saved a hell of a lot of money on barbers that's for sure. :p

I'm unsure about mine

I'm very visibly thin on top but I have eczema around my ears so shaving my head may look unsightly
