To any runners/walkers that listen to music

I initially tried using bluetooth headphone whilst walking, but found as they were quite heavy around the earpieces, they weren't that comfortable. Find using an ipod shuffle (clipped to a t-shirt collar) and in-ear headphone the most comfortable solution.

Sennheiser mm100 not cheap and discontinued, but soooo gooood!

Thanks, will take a look :)

Personally in-ear headphones make my ears hurt after extended periods of use. :(

Just found my pair plantronics backbeat go 2 get them quite cheap now. They are in ear but they're so light you'll barely notice they're there. Great bass/sound quality.

Only downside is a relatively short battery life of around 4 hours.

I have some JVC sports clip ones I got in tesco for cheap. Sound quality isnt ideal, but they were cheap and wont ever fall out.

Sometimes use my skull kandy ones when I lose the JVC ones, they fall out all the time, but sound quality is much better.

Sony mar-zx300 basic £20 jobbies.

I'm the same can't stand in ear ones, they hurt, they fall out they're horrible.
Bluetooth would be nice.
But what I really want is some bone conducting Bluetooth ones. They were only available in Usa last time I checked, although I emailed and they were hopping to expand to uk at some point.
Now available but £75

The only trouble with Bluetooth ones is battery life.

These are the best headphones I've ever used for running and I've done quite a few miles over the years -

Sennheiser PX685i Sports, they go over the top of your head bit like the old Walkman type. The fit inside your ear.

They are nice sounding and will let background noise, such as traffic in at normal levels for safety. They rinse clean under running water and have iPod/iPhone compatible control and microphone.

Just seen the above post by Dimple - the PX685i look a bit like them.

Thanks Andy90.

Just ordered a pair of these thanks for the thread.

Already have a few Sennheiser pairs.

Been through several pairs already and they all seem to fall out while jogging or if I touch the cable in any way very annoying.

I mostly listen to audiobooks or podcasts when jogging so good base etc not important but I think these look to be quite balanced.

Was looking for a good pair around the 50€ mark.

Should get them for tomorrow's run as well :D will post on what I think of them.

I use Grado iGrados. They are open backed so you can hear perfectly well through them (though it does mean they leak so everyone can hear that you are listening to Eye of the Tiger at mile 11).

I'm going to try these. They seem ideal for running and cycling. Will let you know how I get on.

After seeing these I thought I would give them a try, they turned up this morning. I cannot believe how good they are, I was very sceptical to start with but after trying them out I was very impressed.

Thank you :)

After reading some of the reviews it said in one that the sound was like listening to a transistor radio.
Others gave it a better a review but said the bass was poor and you had to keep adjusting them to get the 'sweet spot' so if you're running they must bob all over the place.

Great news, what's the battery life like, and are they as I imagine far more comfortable as they don't squash the ear.

I read the same things, there is a strap that you attach to the headset and it does a very good job from stopping it from moving round. It was delivered to work so a lot of people were interested in trying it and after adjusting the headset to the persons head there was no issue with it moving round.

Bass is lacking compared to other headphones but for me that isn't a massive issue. If you really want bass you can use some earplugs which makes it sound a lot better but for when I am using them I want to hear my surroundings so I won't be doing that.

I will post up a mini review after I have used them a few times :)

LAst year i finished off 5 yes FIVE sets of earphones and two 3.5mm jack in my phone.

Eventually i got myself dedicated mp3 player for 35 pounds cause changing jack every 3 months suck.

Anyhow for me in ear plug type works best. Problem is that cable goes all the time....
Next pair i am buying will be some more expensive one with extra warranty or something..
