Hi guys. I built my current system quite a while ago and wondered if I could get away with a gpu upgrade or would have to build a new system.
Current specs are as follows:

Asus M4N78 SE motherboard
AMD Phenom II x4 940 BE socket AM2+
4 gig of Kingston Hyper X DDR2 memory
Zotaz GTX 550 ti Amp! edition

The pc is mainly used for playing Battlefield and other fps games. If I can get away with a gpu upgrade without the cpu being a bottleneck that would be great as I don't want to fork out on a new system just yet.
Cheers for any input.

This is a little over budget but if you sell the game to bring the cost down.

Cheers mate, that looks good.

On another note, if I upgrade my system with the components below would I see much of a performance difference?

Kingston HyperX Beast 8GB (2x4GB) PC3-17100C11 2133MHz Dual Channel Kit £71.99
ASRock 970 Extreme3 R2.0 AMD 970 (Socket AM3+) DDR3 ATX Motherboard £68.99
Total : £255.56

That plus the 270X would be a good little upgrade.
