Anyone else planning to be in Milan at the end of the month for the EMEA Cisco Live! conference?

I'll be there and I'm looking forward to it - there is a lot of information to glean and lots of top industry people will be there and approachable.

If anyone wants to go for a beer and a chat after one of the days then I'm sure that would be cool too ;)
 
Yeah I fly out on the 26th for the week, quite looking forward to it - missed the last few opportunities.

Hoping to get a look at anything related to VIRL (I know it's not far off release as we've got it as a prototype) and anything NCS 6000 related, or anything SP for that matter.

Should be a giggle.
 
Drop me a line via trust if you fancy a beer! I'm out there from the 23rd as I've got some stuff to do in our Milan office.

Should be pretty good! VIRL is around in q2 according to our SE. I'm gunning for it as I'll switch my attention to CCIEv5 now, no slots left for v4 before June and I'm probably not ready anyway.
 
Yeah will do when I know what's going on, there's a load of us going from all different areas so I've no idea at the moment - but I'll prolly drop you a line at some point!
 
Think I'm there courtesy of Cisco, just need the ok from the chief exec to have the time away.
 
Not this year, blew the quarterly travel budget on going to NANOG in February...

...on the incredibly off chance that anybody else is going, shout...
 
Arrived in Milan earlier today... Love it here, the conference is just a bonus!
 
Going OK so far, spent most of my time in SP related talks, went to an IETF working group one to do with the future of MPLS, some architecture/design talks,

Also managed to get a good demo of VIRL today, which looks very very promising and affordable (talking about $100 for a year with 15 nodes) able to run IOS-XR/IOS/NXOS, spent about 5 minutes in the CCIE lounge which was a bit cringeworthy lol, surrounded by neckbeards and laptops with "BGP =)" stickers on them..

Got a day of P2MP LSPs and NCS 6000 tomorrow which should be fun, In the afternoon i'll be down at the walk-in labs doing a load of stuff, pop down and say hi if anyone is around..
