ok let me give some facts first:
3 terrist houses on a main road
layby for parking for about 6 or 7 cars to the public.
neighbough will move his 3 cars around in to the end space so he always has it.
only on sat did he move his van then get in a nother car to put in the space and a car pulled in to it. so he got out and made them move.

the issues.
all started when i went on holiday and put my car in to the end space on the layby. that mornign at the airport gf got a txt from next door complainign i moved my car to their space! and how they his wife cant put the car there ( no **** - Fully star swear words!)
and she has a kid and shopping to deal with.
i thought to my self great story. he then said sorry to me upon return.
this was in novemeber.

yesterday out sky digital cables have been cut, the dish over hangs his back garden and is at fence level. we now have no tv for 3 weeks till sky can come and repair it. ( no prrof but am sure it him, who else would it be?)

today get a message say i put my car in the end space again when his wife left for work on monday and its been there for a week. not sure he knows this but its only wednesday and thats 3 days. he used one of the cars to block mine in so his own fault really.

at the end of the day its a public layby , the end space is out from my house and not his ( as he claims its basicaly his)
my car he mot, tax and insurance. he doesnt have a leg to stand on.

what should / can i do incase he get out of hand?
e.g does more damage to the house or my car?

You just need to stand your ground and tell him that the space isn't his to use exclusively.

Then get CCTV on the front of your house.

He should be thankful a foreign HGV driver hasn't (yet) decided to have his weekend off in that lay by!!!

I've had similar issues with similar cretins in the past (in my truck) whilst they think they have some right to the space outside their house, they don't!

I live in a terrace, and often have to park in the next street, more fool me for being too poor to not be able to afford a nice private drive/garage.

He sounds like a muppet.

As you say, he doesn't have a leg to stand on, it is a public road, anyone can legally park there. As mentioned, raise concerns to the police so that they have it on record for any future incidents, and again, get some CCTV fitted to protect your house / record any incidents. Make him aware that you are doing these things too, prevention is better than cure.

I'd report the Sky cable cutting to the Police while reporting the parking run ins, its not reasonable for him to block your car in. I'd also if possible have the dish moved elsewhere on your house when the Sky engineers arrive, he's probably also upset that it overhangs his garden and its likely the cables will end up cut again if it stays in the current location.

next time he knocks, go the door, nice as pie, and just tell him its not his private driveway or parking space, and anyone can park there, if he still argues, tell the little ****** to jog on

Yea good idea - he has to live next to this family for god knows how long...

Filing charges and complaints against a neighbour won't get them to be moved out, so just bear this in mind. Also, if you decide to move (if your wife is bothered by hostility etc), then you will need to declare any involvements/issues with neighbours on the contracts. This could cause an issue trying to sell if the prospective buyers think you've got a psychopath nextdoor.

I have reportd it to the police who say the local department will give me a call, and then arrange a visit. can any 1 recomend a wifi camera thats good also in the dark?
i did mention about the sky cable but said i have no proof of this. but they wer adiment to note it down.

Y-Cam Bullet is a decent wi-fi IP camera.

Sharing parking spaces with neighbours can and always will be problematic. The only real solution is to move to a house with its own parking, eg a drive.

I had a similar situation at my old terraced house, where the neighbour thought it was her right to park directly outside her door, even if this meant leaving a gap just too small for another car to fit in. We would ask her to park more considerately by parking up to the next car in the line but she wouldn't do it. Man I really wanted to brick her windows at some points!

Would still love to arrange for a shipping container to be dumped outside her house and left there for a few months :)
