Parking Dispute

You just need to stand your ground and tell him that the space isn't his to use exclusively.

Then get CCTV on the front of your house.

if its on a private road then yes, else it is free to be used by anyone and everyone, however they wish. as for the cctv i agree have it up regardless.

People like this won't be reasoned with.

I'd just move to a house that has off street parking and better neighbours. I did just that in fact as I had all these troubles at my first house. We lived in a cul de sac whose road was only 1 car wide. The cul de sac only went 66% of the way up the street meaning the top 33% of the street had no off street parking.

For those of us in that 33 % we had to share a laybay at the top of the street which could accomodate 3 cars (these people had smaller front gardens to accommodate). There was all sorts of issues with certain people parking in a *** way and blocking people's drives in, parking behind those 3 cars and blocking them in, people parking across 2 of the spots inconsiderately etc...

Most neighbours were fine about it and did their best and would gladly move etc.. but there was always one neighbour who woudn't and deliberately did things to provoke others because he liked a fight.

We moved. Best thing we ever did.

Also be wary about getting the police involved if you do move. You are legally obliged to tell the truth when asked by the future purchaser if you've had trouble with the neighbours. If the police have on record lots of complaints by you about this neighbor the purchaser's solicitors can find this sort of stuff out.

What a psycho. I absolutely love the fact that I live on a street with perfectly normal reasonable people, i even had one of the neighbours over the friday for dinner round our. *praises the lord repeatedly*

I can't even be bothered with people like this.

If possible move house, then come back and fill his exhausts with expanding foam and scatter carpet tacks in front and behind all of his tyres.

i sent my sister round to check my car out, and they came out and had a go at her. un believable !

wait wut? they had a go at her... for walking up to her/your vehichle and giving it a walk around... what business is it of theirs... or was it because it was in "their" space?

think it's time you sold your car and bought a limo :D a big hummer one!!!

also cutting the sky cable.... how petty can you get! like seriously....

not strictly legal as it's public highway but do the old "two cones and a length of wood" to reserve your spot ;) lol

my old man has a rover limo ( herce looking thing) that i am tempted to put in its place..

You did the right thing reporting it.
Have a look at the Eyespy range of cameras. I have the EyeSpy247HDSD and i just place it on a window sill filming through the glass and its great. It just records to a micro Sd card.
I also have a Merrit Lillin external camera that works really well with my synology nas.

Tell him you have cctv of him cutting your sky cables and will be reporting him to the police. It may be a bluff but he will be pooing himself for weeks.

In the meantime get some cctv up. A IP Cam is about £40 and just stick em up. Unfortunately it really has come to it that there are so many idiots about its a necessary security measure along with good locks and an alarm.

Camera ordered, police came round took a statement and said i should just move my car to avoid any problems, e.g brick through the window and such.
asked if i wanted him to go speak with him , Turns out he has quite a record.
so i said no we should just log it.

Chaapa'ai < love your profile man..

Remind him that while you pay road tax and that is a public layby you will park wherever suits you. I'd definitely look into getting your sky dish moved though and reporting to plod as has been suggested. Just make sure you are squeaky clean in all this, don't be tempted to retaliate.
