Parking Dispute

We had a neighbour at my old house who was a sad old git who parked right outside our house and thought he owned it. We borrowed a high sided pink old van and parked it right outside his house. I put a pretend company sticker on the side to his window that said awesome view ltd and left it for 3 months :D

It's probably not the best advice, but if he does any damage to your car for parking there, get someone to throw paint stripper over all 3 of his cars. Guy sounds like a complete p***k.

Remind him that while you pay road tax and that is a public layby you will park wherever suits you. I'd definitely look into getting your sky dish moved though and reporting to plod as has been suggested. Just make sure you are squeaky clean in all this, don't be tempted to retaliate.

It's vehicle tax. It doesn't pay for the roads.

OcUK needs a fleet of sheddy cars to use for these threads, just go round and park these idiots into submission.

kinda like a top gear challenge, everyone buy the most ridiculous car they can for....sub £500? and then rock up places as a personal army xD

I reckon that since your Sky cable has been cut, you may as well get your roof re-done. This will of course mean you need a rather large skip (or 3) to put the debris in, and I guess the only place to put the skip(s) is in the layby at the end of the road. For a very extended period.

I think if he has three cars, then he is taking more of this layby than he should be in the first place.

Can you post a pic of this from google? For reference, as I'm unsure why there would be issue if this spot is infront of your house.

..and yours is the house on the right, when looking from the road at the houses?

If so then the end spot is clearly 'yours', obviously you have no written claim to it, but where else are you meant to park?

Ultimately it comes down to the fact it's public parking and so none of you have any more "right" to park there than anyone else (including people who don't live there).

If he doesn't like it, he can A) move to a house with a drive or allocated parking. Or B) speak to the local council and request they change it to allocated/permit parking (which they probably wont do, and if they do you will all have to pay for).

If he's going to carry on committing criminal damage, then it's a separate issue, and hopefully you can catch him in the act.

This. Make sure to take the wheels off and drop em on the floor so they can't be moved easily. dont register them in your name for obvious reasons.

More like take the wheels off his car and drop it to the floor.

"You like your space that much, huh? Well you can stay in it!!"

So does he park all his 3 cars together .i.e he totally blocks the frontage of your house?
I so hes a well cheeky ****!!!
He doesn't even have any space in front of his own house and he thinks its ok to park his fleet of cars outside other properties then he has the nerve to think the spaces are reserved for him at all times???
