Need Advise on Video Card for my PC

Hi,
I would like to upgrade my video card but I'm not sure which one would suit my PC. I'm not looking for anything fantastic, more mid ranged. I was looking at the NVIDIA GTX 640 as an option but I am unsure.

My PC is an ASUS K5130 UK006S currently completely unmodified from factory specs.

Processor
Intel® Celeron® Processor G1610(2.60 GHz, 2 MB cache)
RAM
2 GB DDR3 (8 GB maximum installable RAM)
Motherboard
Intel® H61 Chipset

Advise would be very much appreciated?

May i ask what you're power supply is?

What will the Gpu be doing? If it is just for video/BD play back, then an AMD 5450 will suffice.

Thanks for the quick responses and suggestions.
It is using onboard graphics right now and I'm looking for a card for gaming. Something that will run games like Skyrim on med to high settings smoothly.
