I thought people knew about this ages ago. Saying that I was at MS HQ this week and there was a bit of talk about it...
 
I think the rumour that it was going to be called 'Cortana' was known, but what's new is that they're getting the actual 'voice of Cortana' to do the app.
 
Cortana was its development name and well known for ages.
If they actually verify that will be the brand name as well that would be new. Although very good chance of it. as it has almost 40 thousand votes on the wp8 suggestion site, one of the highest ranking suggestions.

I doubt that, certain aspects will be Usa only just ling bing, which is what it will work off anyway. Its just a voice for the bing search.
You probably rad the beta version rumour will be available to developers at the build conference with the actual final version rolling out globally a few months later.
