Who said anything about farmed animals.

How about fish like was quoted, how are they killed, what is left behind? Its indiscriminate fishing and with fish nets designed to leave the babies behind to help stocks.
So yes its very much the same. Then we have wild game, bigger animals it depends on the marksman how good the shot is, but for birds its a shotgun, so can die any which way.

Apparantly the body that certifies halal meat does allow stunning the animal. Regardless I feel its pretty cruel.

They aren't endangered and will be used for food. It's not like they are being hunted for sport or something!

How on earth does it make a difference whether they are killed for sport or food .
