R9 270x or GTX 770

The 270X is not in the same league as the GTX 770, its half the price for a start.

Its the 280X which compares to the GTX 770, IMO the 280X is better as it has 3GB of Vram.
But there is nothing wrong with the GTX 770 if Nvidia is what you want.
 
I had this exact decision to make last week.

Upgraded from a 560Ti SLI setup.

I managed to find a reference 770 for £200 so I went for it.

As humbug says, the 280X is the direct comparison. I don't think you would be disapointed with either card to be honest.

If you do what I did and keep your eyes peeled for the best deal and don't rush into it, you will get a great card.

This Deal of the Day is a pretty good starting point :D

Hmm, I could say I was in the same position as you back in September albeit between CF HD7950 vs Sli GTX670, flipped a coin and as soon as Nvidia won, I went for AMD :p
And Im glad I did as I can mine with them :D
