It's getting to around the time in my cars life cycle that i'm considering changing it. It's a 53 Mondeo so something around that kind of style is preferable as I do tend to need the space more often than not.

I don't do a huge amount of mileage at the moment, only about 15k per year so i'm not really too sure if a diesel would be the way to go.

Any suggestions?

Are you changing from boredom or because the car is falling apart? Try the accord, nicer than the mondeo (st excluded) imo - dunno that you'll be getting anything newer though

As above, really you're looking at a newer Mondeo, an Accord or maybe even an Octavia or something like that in this budget.

£3k is a funny number though, it's not bangernomics money nor is it enough to buy something really nice that will be noticeably better than your Mondeo.

+1 for an Accord, though from my searches I find it difficult to find low mileage examples.

great car though, the 2L Sport we have is great, its comfortable, it does shift for something that's only 150bhp and the triptronic box in ours is really smooth and quick.

Wouldn't say they hold a premium, just found a 2.4 Exec on a 55 plate, 60k miles, for £4500

Type S here Link - Though I always disagree with any ad that shows a car with the fuel light on.

I got followed by a 61plate Accord earlier when I was on Lunch, It looked fantastic in my rear view mirror.
