taB sorry dude I think it'll have to go to a vote if Ginger Ale is a bona fide submission. I'd say it was an alcoholic soft drink not a beer :(

I shouldn't have 4 points :(

Annoyingly I changed my mind on my entry and the original would've been okay, doh!

Hmmmm what happened there, all fixed now :)

Thank you :)

Still haven't tried any of my beers yet and I've got quite a few to work my way through. I've also got 11 days holiday still to book off work and need to use them up by the start of April - it could be a messy holiday :p

Boo hiss.

It's a dark ale with a splash of Fentimans in it (a brewed ginger beer not a soft drink). It's still 6%.

Ginger Grouse (which is an alcopop) has been a valid entry this season so didn't think I was on shaky ground.

Vote away please :)

I also vote points as I'm sure I entered an alcoholic ginger beer as one of my entries in the last competition and it counted as a valid entry.

// Edit - just checked and Tab is only one point behind me on the leader board . . . . . . . . . . :p

On the subject of taB's entry, it's not a ginger beer in the conventional sense, but a beer with ginger ale added, more akin to a fruit beer:-

The rich maltiness of Robinson's Dark Ale is complemented by Fentimans traditional ginger beer in this unique blend.

So I don't see any reason why it shouldn't get full points as a valid entry.

Good fun round that! I've had my beer since christmas. Just lobbed my lager into the frezer now to cool it before drinking. Having champagne whilst watching take me out first though.

I vote the ginger beer should count as long as it isn't too weak (i.e. over 2%?).

Edit: just seen it's 6%. Valid imo.

Sorry about the quality of my picture, it was taken in a park and then sun had already set.

I had planned a series of pictures of the beer going into a brown paper bag, being drank in a park, and me on the floor passed out. But I got lost, it got dark, and I forgot it was stupidly muddy, so you got a terrible picture instead :p

edit: There is a surprisingly large range, the GF had a blonde beer from there at the same time, and no-one seems to have picked that one either.

I think tab should get some points as if we were following the rules properly half of you shouldn't get points as there is no name or ocuk in the background ;)

You get to know a submission, for example no one could recreates the quality of Rojins and Kino's are always 4000 x 1400 odd :p

I ummmed and aaaarrred over yours in M&S today but plumped fro the low alcohol as I can drink that through January, it's disgusting :o

The low alcohol one is disgusting? I'e juat got mine out of the freezer now and although it poured really well, i'm not a big fan of the taste at all unfortunately. Still, glad I tried it which is what this competition is all about.

True on a few of them missing names or ocuk badges. Tut tut.:p

And on the size, ahh yeah, mine are always a bit blurred and massive. I take them on my phone and send them straight off without resizing. Want me to resize them to a particular forum friendly size from now on? I can do.

You can if you like, I mean it doesn't matter with Mrs S sending me upside down photos all the time, sure she does it on porpoise.
