Hi All,

Having taken a break from PC gaming to switch to Console for a few years I want to get back into the PC scene, I already have the below so no need to be included in the build.

- Monitor
- Keyboard & Mouse
- DVD drive
- Win7 OS

My main requirements are:

- A build I can upgrade if I choose to in the future (I.e GPU).
- A case will be needed as current parts will be coming from a Dell tower.
- I will be using the rig to play the following games so would like (if possible to get a build for my budget) that would allow these games to run on decent settings, with decent FPS results. BF4, COD, WoW, CS/CZ, Diablo, Day Z, FIFA etc.
- Possible for a graphics card that has HDMI out (monitor is VGA but have a Samsung 1080p TV that I could hook up to for optimal performance).

Thanks

Do you have a sata hdd and an optical drive you can reuse. What Psu do you have?
Struggling to get a decent system with a Gpu for your budget.

Yeah I do, was preferring to get a new HDD though but if push comes to shove for now then can reuse.

I'm not sure what PSU is in my current machine, it's been thrown up in the loft for a few months.

Get up there and have a look.:D
If it`s decent enough, that and the hdd might help to get you a better system. Also check what ram the Dell has, if it is DDR3, we might be able to use it,

Right...out of luck on the RAM it's PC2 4x 512mb sticks.

PSU is 375w Dell official Model N375-00

In that case, ReaperGuy's basket and Idleman's APU basket are good options.

A second alternative, if you choose to use integrated graphics for now till you add the video card of your choice, is to get something like:

YOUR BASKET
1 x Intel Core i5-4440 3.10GHz (Haswell) Socket LGA1150 Processor - Retail £143.99
1 x MSI Z87-G41 PC Mate Intel Z87 (Socket 1150) DDR3 ATX Motherboard £79.99
1 x Toshiba SSD HDTS212EZSTA 9.5mm 128GB Solid State Hard Drive - Retail £71.99
1 x SuperFlower Golden Green HX 550W "80 Plus Gold" Power Supply - Black £59.99
1 x TeamGroup Vulcan ORANGE 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-19200C11 2400MHz Dual Channel Kit (TLAD38G2400HC11CDC01) £55.99
1 x BitFenix Comrade Midi-Tower - Black £29.99
Total : £455.44 (includes shipping : £11.25).

Pluses: SSD, Gold PSU, can be upgraded with video card of your choice.

Minuses: no video card so games can't be played on high settings straightaway. Still over budget.

Thanks all

I like the look of this one so just got a few questions

1) is they much difference between the 270 & 270X (as I noticed the 270 comes with a copy of BF4).
2) is extending the RAM further worth it? Say 8GB?
3) Any expected performance ideas I could achieve with this build? Ie expected settings and FPS?
4) Looking around if noticed that the motherboard is mentioned to maybe need a BIOS update to take the CPU, is this true?

Thanks!

I run a 6300 at 4GHz with a 212 Evo. My max temps are 35C, I could go higher but my Mobo limits me. The 270X is also a great card for the price. I also run one and have no problems on ultra with every game.

Thanks guys, so I am gonna bump up a little and get r9 270x devil, do I need to get a cooler straight off the bat for the 6300? Or does it come with a standard one (obviously not for clocking).

Thanks

Thanks all for the help, I have just ordered the above build and decided to up my budget slightly and added the 1TB HDD.
