omg its a seat

Lol what a complete and utter waste of time :) I can understand if it was a classic car, or something uber rare that was going to end up in a museum, but it's a friggin Toledo lol!

Apart from the silly stickers, it looks like just rolled off the factory. Although as Housey said.. why

He must have committed some crime in that to warrant that kind of level of fingerprint removal!

Would just be gutted to drive it after that kind of effort.

Impressive washing, but why?

Haven't you ever just wanted to wash everything on your car? Just to get it back to how it was as it came out of the factory. To spend an entire weekend cleaning parts that have never seen the light of day and make it stand out from all the other cars?

Me neither.

Exactly, I don't quite get why a car is any less worthy if this kind of treatment just based on it's value.

Because if it's your daily driver then it's just going to get dirty again. I'm sure it's really satisfying to know that your car is as clean as it was when it came out of the factory, but unless there is some actual benefit to cleaning parts of the car you never actually see (like de-coking an engine) then it just seems really OCD :)

Looks excellent, but I have no idea why you would bother.

I have polishing kit and keep my cars looking good, but I don't spend whole weekends polishing cars, I wash them then have a quick nose around for any scratches to sort.

Keeping a car looking good is 90% using a lamb's wool wash mit with the two bucket method.

That is beyond sad.

That much work into cleaning a car, something that gets inherently mucky/dirty in its normal day to day use. The car itself, a 1.6 boggo Seat, with red brakes, and then to take that many pictures of the cringeworthy process and upload them all with that much description of something as dull as washing a car

I'm actually impressed by that, the car looks fantastic afterwards. If that is his/her pride and joy then go for it.

Come do my car next please.

Thats even extreme for somewhere like Detailing World :p

Exterior I get, the underneath hidden bits are just plain daft to clean to that degree.

People are into some funny things. Could also be a new business venture that she needs to advertise for and only has her own car to demonstrate on?
