omg its a seat

People are into some funny things. Could also be a new business venture that she needs to advertise for and only has her own car to demonstrate on?

Could be, but the sheer number of hours needed to perform something like that is insane. I would bet he has spent 100+ hours.
Not sure how it would work as a business unless you charged mega money.

This is what the internet is great for, turning something mundane in to some form of competition as to who can go the most overboard. He wins at washing his car.

Shortly after he finished, it rained.

Agreed.

His girlfriend must have been ****ing him off soooo much to actually prompt him to spend an entire weekend actually doing that though :p

Looks like she did it with him, some of the pics have a lady type in them working on the car.

Impressive effort, but bloody hell, what a waste of time. Especially on an ordinary shopping car.

Google translate says:

"Taking the opportunity, that there is no bacon in the rear door mounted the speakers themselves"

And:

"I came sweetie"

Oh, and that's a clean Seat.

Hang on, when I read the thread title and clicked the Op's link I was fully expecting someone spending ages washing an actual seat, you know, the things you lay your bum cheeks on... Not the car :o

Impressive washing, but why?

This

Couple of years time all the inaccessible areas behind the bumpers, under the carpets, underneath the car etc.. will look just the same.

I'm all for keeping your car clean (CBA personally its only been washed once this winter and that was when it went for a service) but thats OTT

But then again, who are we to say otherwise when the person obviously has OCD ....

I can understand the cleaning aspect even though it is about a hundred times more effort than I could ever justify but what I don't get is the guys necessity to photograph every square inch of his car 6 times

obviously its OCD, the need to make sure he photographed every inch of the car is the same need that drove him to take his car apart and clean every inch of it and why he had to change any part that looked different (like the reservoir bottle)

No worse than that chap that bought an Astra VXR then spent the first few weeks of ownership washing it.

The white one? That was hilarious. Especially when he was furious at the 'deliberate vandalism' :D A couple of smears of other non-white paint under the carpets... and the sound deadening...
