on every channel now it seems like its a charity 24/7 ad campaign !

from snow leopards to starving kids in every known region of man to every other kind of begging.also its depressing.

so do you get annoyed at the frequency of these adds and how they are done ?

my kids would like to watch there cartoon without being bombarded by these adds 20 times in 30 minutes :p

Can't be bothered to search for it right now, but isn't there some recent research that people have become hardened to these manipulative adverts and so they are not very effective in persuading anyone to donate that wasn't going to do so anyway?

What annoys me is that they don't ask for a one off donation of whatever you can afford, you have to pay X amount every month for how ever long. Makes no sense.

I reckon a battle royale style tournament, with the finalist going toe to toe with a snow leopard in a fight to the death.

The winner gets an all expenses paid trip to Haiti to help out tsunami victims.

In all seriousness, these just get ignored/switched off.

The starving african kids ones in particular strike me as a waste of time:

"Kumala has to feed her kids mud and make them drink antelope-toilet water"

Well maybe she shouldn't have had 20 of them while living in the middle of the ****ing desert then?!

We've been throwing money at Africa for 30+ years now, and oh look, they're in exactly the same state as they were 30+ years ago. Maybe if we stopped giving them money, and enabling them to live in the desert in crap conditions, they'd stop doing it? Either by moving to more fertile locations or stopping having so many kids they can't support (and increasing the suffering and overpopulation in the process).

Please note, I have no problems with charity going to victims of natural disasters and other one-off, freak events, but when it's an ongoing problem where it makes no difference, at what point do you turn round and say "enough is enough"?

I don't think I've watched a program "live" for about 5 years so I never actually watch the adverts anyway - 30x is your friend! :D

I find the online casino or bingo ads more annoying. At least the charity ones in most cases are trying to do some good albeit in an annoying way.

Most of my viewing is Netflix or other streaming so thankfully I avoid these.

The amount of charity collections at stations and the like are increasing lately as well.
