Will we see Nintendo publishing on the PC?

To be fair, I wouldn't buy a Wii U even if I had money coming out of my ears. I just don't think it offers anything over a Wii.

Having said that, if I was offered one of the "current gen" consoles and told I have to keep it and play it for a year, i'd take a Wii U over the others. Whilst I don't want one, it comes across as the only console designed to be fun rather than being a **** extension for morons. :)

Strange isn't it, SEGAs hardware was genuinely impressive but they had to pull out because of the (inferior) playstation stealing away sales, but Nintendo keep beating a dead horse with its out of date hardware and mediocre titles.

Somewhere in an alternate reality, SEGA is (rightly) king.

I wouldnt be surprised if it did. But I think they will probably continue their hand held consoles development. Shame SNES was first console I ever had!

Because Nintendo have money to waste while Sega did not.

Doubt Nintendo will be on PC for a long time. If anything if Wii U tanks in the next two years, they can bring out a new console on par or better than PS4 etc.

As a PC gamer, I do not see the point of owning a PS4 or XBONE. Those two offer graphics I was playing from like 5 years or so ago, eg Crysis. Sure they do have a few exclusives, but that is why in such unlikely event I just borrow a friends/families console or buy and resell on ebay if I really want to play them.

I will likely however buy a Wii U just for the new Mario Kart coming out in April though. Had tons of fun with the last one on the Wii with my partner and friends. That is one of a few Nintendo exclusives that sells the console to me. Probably will pick one up for £150 which is peanuts when you think about it. An iPhone or iPad costs like £400+ and people upgrade those yearly.. lol

The problem with Wii U is it came at least 1 year too late and did not have the correct marketing and launch titles. They wanted to ride the wave of the Wii's success, but by the time the Wii U came out the wave had bottomed out. Why else would you call a console the Wii U? Horrible name... lol.

The Wii U will suffer a lot now that it is perceived already as a failure and also because Nintendo has offended publishers and retailers. Sure, their share value will dip due low (or no) profits, but they will just go back to the drawing board. In the mean time none of this bothers me, I will buy the Wii U once it offers what I want at the price I am willing to pay.

Nintendo should really consider increasing their in house development numbers though. They take too long to release stuff. Also they could try to crate a new IP that appeals to a different demographic. My 2 cents anyway :)

Purportedly Nintendo are developing a new console and a handheld. The specs if accurate look good. Would be a good idea if they are to be honest. If they released it for next xmas time or maybe even this one, it would do well if they getting 3rd party backing.

I really hope this is true. But I am taking it with a truck of salt.

I hope not, remember when everyone was raving about the Wii a few years ago? When I finally got around to playing it I was shocked at how bad the graphics are (and I'm not even an extreme graphics wh... enthusiast). It looked awful.

Besides, has Mario not been done to death at this stage? Nintendo are in trouble at the moment.

They are a SEGA waiting to happen in my opinion, maybe they can survive as a handheld console company. Maybe make a custom Android Gameboy phone platform for their IP?

TBH I cant think of a single item from Nintendo I would want or play now. Mario is done to death now. Zelda seems to be the only decent game they make, I tend to look at Nintendo's games with nostalgia and that is not a good thing for a current market contender.

They will just get a few first party titles out on Wii U , call it a day after a year or so and release another console.

I can honestly believe they will just join the current console race in a few years, but if thats fails then they are ****ed.

I think the main problem with the Wii:U is that it has been out for over a year and yet the flagship titles e.g. Super Smash Bros haven't been released yet. Would be a shame if they pulled a Sega, as it's always been fun saving the princess (even when she's in another castle)...

Off topic, but if I was to get a Wii:U, will it connect to a standard PC monitor via HDMI? Haven't got a TV.

No I do not think we will see it.

The only problem Nintendo have is that everyone on the planet is stupid - Every gamer out there should have a Wii U.

wii u is epic some of the games are the most fun on any platform yet people bash it.

as for graphics are people actually playing it and then commenting or just going off videos as a lot of the games are very graphically and look great
